Hadahawis Turtle Parent

Hadahawis is a young Mohawk man who has been dealing with suicide in the recent past.  He wanted me to share his story.  He feels that the issue isn’t discussed often enough.  On the surface, Hadahawis is very happy and soft spoken, represented by the field of flowers.  Upon closer examination, the petals of the flowers are made up of skulls.  Each skull (336 in total) represents one estimated suicide that the indegenous  community in Canada will suffer this year.  Teal and purple are the colors of suicide awareness ribbons.
